Get to know them now.

George Panayotou

George is a 29 year old student at York University. His working gigs have run the gamut from looking at barrels of dried fruit and nuts all day to parking ultra expensive cars like a Maserati Quattroporte, to being a production assistant on a commercial. When he's not working, he's watching movies or making music. In fact, his happy place is either being behind a camera or having a guitar in hand. This creativity and love of music has had an impact on his finances – with a really expensive guitar amplifier being one of his biggest purchases to date. As an RBC p2p blogger, he hopes to help at least one student graduate with money left in the bank.

Henry Gordon-Smith

Born in Hong Kong, 21 year old Henry is currently a student at the University of British Columbia. Henry, a.k.a. 'Hags' or 'Henny P' as he's affectionately known among his friends, hopes to be a diplomat when he grows up. His travels have taken him to Moscow, Russia where he worked at the Canadian Embassy and to the Czech Republic where he worked at a call centre. In his off-hours, Henry enjoys clubbing, watching DVD sets and swimming. He loves the web for helping him keep in the loop with friends, family, news, entertainment, and school. If you ever meet Henry, ask him why he'd love to sit next to Mandy Moore on a 10 hour flight. In this role, Henry is hoping to learn how to better manage his money and to push his creativity.

Kate Longmoore

Kate is 20 years old and a student at the University of Ottawa. Kate suffers from an ice cream and chocolate bars addiction and routinely spends money at the grocery store on 4-for-1 Haagen-Dazs sales. Though her career ambition changes on a daily basis, Kate wants to be a stock broker when she grows up. In the meantime, Kate is saving for her own condo and would love to plan a trip to Sir Richard Branson's island. Kate is applying her learning from her job as a lemonade stand proprietor into her most recent role as an RBC p2p blogger.

Nathan Jenkins

Nineteen year old Nathan is a native of Humboldt, Saskatchewan currently attending the Schulich School of Business at York University. Before becoming an RBC p2p blogger, Nathan's humble professional beginnings included jobs cleaning toilets at the local skating rink, as an emcee at a local craft show, stuffing envelopes, as a camp counsellor and running a paper route. He was drawn to this role because of the potential notoriety (who doesn't want to be recognized on the street?) and perks (who doesn't want to advance the line at a night club?). In all seriousness, Nathan is hoping to share his financial survival tactics and do some learning for himself along the way. Nathan's philosophy on life? The only thing worth living for has to be worth dying for.

Nick Simard

Nick is 27 years old, attends St. Mary's University and currently calls Halifax, Nova Scotia his home. Nick describes himself as eclectic, eccentric and electric and parlays these characteristics into doing stand-up comedy. He also enjoys beat-boxing and photography. As an RBC p2p blogger, Nick is looking forward to helping prevent others from making some of the financial mistakes he's made and to learn about money so that he can finally start saving some! This Maritimer's secret super power is the ability to predict the weather – or rather, to help others figure out what to wear. It's easy, just wear the opposite of what Nick's wearing and you'll be just fine.

Zachary Pedersen

Zach is 21 years old and attends Ryerson University. He describes himself as reliable, friendly and laid-back. He's built up his character over time by mooning the public at a water park at the age of nine, working at odd jobs including sorting and re-sorting thousands of light bulbs, learning colourful language along the way, and surviving road trips with his younger sister. He loves being in the know with global and local news through the web and admittedly spends too much time stalking friends online. Like you, he weighs the spend or save challenges every day – to pay rent or to take a trip to Florida with friends? (He took the trip.) With this role, Zach wants to learn more about finances because as much as he'd love to be saving right now, at this point he's just digging himself out of debt one penny at a time.
